Salagdoong Beach

Salagdoong Beach is for me the next best beach in Siquijor after Paliton Beach.  It forms part of a resort owned by the government and for those like us who are not checked-in, an entrance fee of Php15.00 applies.

What I love best about Salagdong Beach is its powdery white sand (though Boracay's white sand is still whiter and finer.)  Its waters are also crystal clear and the views are amazing.

From the latest photo above, you can see a man-made bridge leading up a cliff and the end of one of two man-made slides painted light green.

When I climbed up the stairs going to the cliff, the top of the cliff afforded me these lovely views.

The only thing that I dislike about the place are its two man-made slides as they destroy the beauty of an otherwise perfectly natural place.

Below is a photo taken at the beachfront at the bottom of the cliff to the farthest right of the resort.

Salagdooong Beach is located in Olang, Maria, Siquijor.  For those who are interested in staying here, as of this writing, their tariff lists their standard accommodation rate at Php800.00.
